In a recent study it has been observed that the demand for mid-range luxury housing is likely to grow along with demand of affordable housing. The demand will surpass the supply as it is estimated to increase by over 130 per cent. The growth rate of top most Indian cities is quite incredible; the housing demand in these cities is much more than the supply. These points were raised in a study conducted in New Delhi and the statistics are alarming. The demand will stretch the boundaries of the urban areas.
The study also states that affordable housing will be the most demanded by the population and along with it mid- range and luxury housing will also improve their growth. The realty sector of India contributes a lot the growth of our economy and now that India is open to liberalisation and globalisation policies, level of growth will raise to a higher amount. One of the major factors for increase in demand for housing is the migration factors. Every year large population migrates from rural areas to urban in search for job opportunities and it is obvious they will need shelter to live. This has increased the demand for infrastructure.
