India has the largest population of tea and coffee drinkers. Coffee culture is the new culture which has evolved in recent years and is becoming very popular amongst the young generation. The famous coffee ventures like Barista, costa coffee and café coffee day are competing with each other to impress and attract customers by various means. Cafes are now not just restricted to table and chair but they also provide great ambience to woo their customers. Some of them even have Wi-Fi connectivity and live music facility. With all these facilities cafes and lounges have become new hang out spot for the Gen X.
Real estate developers are in great profit due to the increasing demand of cafes and lounges in India.
Demand for the coffee cafes and lounges has doubled compared to last ten year. By the end of year 2014 café coffee day, one of the leading chain of coffee cafes aims to open at least 2000 café coffee day outlets across India. Starbucks, the most famous coffee brand all over the world is planning to enter into Indian market and it is estimated that they will open around 1000 outlets in India, consisting of both coffee cafes and coffee lounges. Developers are gaining benefit of the competition between the coffee companies as the demand for infrastructure has risen.
