Effect of festive season on real estate in India

In India festivals are of great importance and the real estate sector is highly influenced by this festive season, the rate of sales goes high as people believe that the days of Navratras and Diwali are auspicious for making any purchase or transaction. The months of October and November are full of festival and during this time period the real estate sales rise to an astonishing amount as compared to the other months. The festive season of India the transaction goes up to 25%. In north India the time of Diwali is believed to be one of the most auspicious days for purchasing property or making real estate investments.

Every year it has been observed by the real estate sector that during this festive season sales have risen up but sadly due to inflation, bad stock performance and RBI’s loan rates the sale could not achieve the set goal for the year, it is estimated to be low. The big question which has arisen is that would the festive season would be speed up the real estate sales. There are a majority of people who wait for these auspicious days to buy new property or house. Many people book their homes or start their new business venture during the period of Navratras.
