The Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Mr. P C Meena has given instructions to all revenue officers to stop sale deed registration of land located in the unauthorized colonies of Gurgaon. The Deputy Commissioner has issued this directive to revenue officers who officiate as sub-registrars while registering sale deeds particularly of immoveable properties in illegal colonies of Gurgaon.
Mr. Meena said that from now onwards every sub-registrar will be required to submit a certificate every fortnight stating clearly that no land registration sale deed of any unauthorized colony has taken place under his or her jurisdiction. To put matters strictly in place random checking of sale deeds would be done by the Deputy Commissioner himself.
This move comes as a result of numerous allegations made earlier against ruling party leaders who are alleged to have been patronizing the creation of illegal colonies in Gurgaon. Mr. Meena stated that the latest directive shall be strictly enforced and any violation of the instructions by any officer will invite disciplinary action against the concerned officer and Mr. Meena himself will inform the government in writing about such violations of real estate rules. Delegation of responsibilities of government servants from a sub-registrar to a tehsildar is at the sole discretion of the deputy commissioner who is vested with such powers.
