Tata, the Numero Uno company of India is all set to give a new boost to its housing division. The Tata housing is going to enter Chennai, the Southern Metro of the country. It’s a fact that without presence in the southern states, no company can claim its pan India presence. And in order to exhibit itself as a real estate company with Pan India presence, Tata Housing is all set to invest Rs. 1500 crore in Chennai. Mr. Broin Banerjee, the chairman of Tata housing says, “Chennai Crescent Lake Homes will be our first project and it will be a part of our integrated development. We are aiming at developing more and more projects in the near future.
In the first phase of development, Tata Housing has plans to invest around Rs. 700 crore to develop 960 flats. There will be 1/2/3 bedroom apartments. The first phase of development will be completed within a period of 24 months.
The first phase will be completed by 24 months and in the second phase the company has plans to build row type villas, three and four bedroom apartments at an investment of Rs. 750 crore. These real estate projects will come up in the industrial corridor of Oragadam which is about 45 kilometers from Chennai.
