The little apartments are vending big! Currently, the supreme demand is for 2BHK residential flats and the supply is completing this demand. No surprise, some developers assert 55-60 percent of their present inventories are 2BHK units, the GM – Marketing of Ashiana Housing Ltd., AtmaSharan, states the same,“About 55-60 per cent of our list includes 2BHKs. It is certainly the fastest developing sector, chiefly since for the first-home purchasers as they are at the starting of their married life and careers.”
The extreme demand for the 2-bedroom units is from the middle-class single families. Usually, middle-class salaried employees like school teachers, government employees or employees in the BPO, banking, IT and service sectors are coming across this sector. The middle level self-employed professionals are also interested in this sector. This is possible for nuclear families with small children where a third bedroom is not a requirement and not worth the extra cost. Many developers, who were chiefly aiming on lavish housing previously, have changed their attention to the small units as it is stated that “the pot of gold lies at the bottom of the pyramid, and that is where everyone wants to get.” The 2BHKs are doing mostly fine as they be liable to appeal the first time purchaser who is young, has just married and taken the leading some steps of his/her professional life.
