Zinc hospitality to invest in real estate in India:

A real estate company Zinc Hospitality having equity properties in Taj Safaris and Asia, Hilton in New York along with India Safaris is planning to introduce its own brands in India. The company has also partnered a Bangkok based hotel management company, Invision in launching its brands Glow Studios and Zinc City for the mid market segments.

The company is planning to invest $ 40 million in totality of four properties by 2013 in Greater Noida, Surat and Cochin. Rahul Chaudhary, executive director, Indian sub- continent, Zinc Invision Hospitality says that we have been a sleeping giant, we wanted to create our own brand but it took some time to accumulate assets and projects. The company also plans to develop another 15 hotels in the same category through a mix of ownership and management contracts. It is also eyeing for some existing properties which can be converted into hotels. According to the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Zinc Invision Hospitality, Mr. Kevin Beauvais initially the company wants to have equity stakes in their projects and build their own brands and then they would like to act as a strategic investor at the property level.
