Ahmedabad gets representation in executive committee of CREDAI

Apart from vying for World Heritage City status Ahmedabad has also made a name for itself in the realm of national real estate. The city has achieved representation in the executive committee of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) which is an apex body of realtors. In the history of CREDAI this is the first such representation. The man in question is Mr. Jaxay Shah who has been elected as vice president of CREDAI for 2011-13 in the recently-held elections. Mr. Shah is the promoter of Savvy Infrastructure, an Ahmedabad-based realty firm. Ahmedabad has grown in prominence since it hosted the biennial elections of CREDAI. This is for the first time that biennial elections of CREDAI have been held outside Delhi.

Incidentally Mr. Jaxay Shah also holds the president’s post of Gujarat CREDAI. When he was the president he played a key role in taking CREDAI activities to various cities in Gujarat like Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot and Vapi. He has been instrumental in taking the lead part to generate the interest of developers in Ahmedabad’s. Apart from Shah the other important posts of CREDAI namely the chairman and president were taken over by Pradip Jain of Parsvnath Developers Ltd and Lalit Jain of Kumar Urban Development Limited respectively.
