To redevelop the Vikhroli slums, Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. (HCC) is going to start a project in the month of October. The president of HCC Real Estate Ltd. Mr. Rajgopal Nogja told the media persons that HCC is planning to develop 16 acres out of 48 acres of the slum area. Slum Rehabilitation Authority has sanctioned approval to HCC for this. With the development of only 16 acres the real estate company will generate 1 to 1.1 million square feet area for sale purpose. Rajgopal Nogja told media persons that they are looking for some partners for the completion of this huge and important project of land development.
The HCC Real Estate Ltd. is also planning to motivate the people of the slums to cooperate with the company for the development of the remaining 34 acres. HCC Real Estate Ltd is also looking for the approval of the Slum Rehabilitation Authority to develop the remaining land. Mr. Nogja told media persons that he is hopeful that the Slum Rehabilitation Authority will permit them to start the rehabilitation project with in 6 to 8 months. The president of Lasva Corp, has offered initial public offering to the units of HCC.
